This song is a choral prelude. I believe we should use music to remind ourselves of the truths that will sustain us through hard times. “I will keep him in perfect peace, if he’ll only keep his mind stayed on me.”
I Trust In You
I was facing obstacles that I couldn’t see a solution for. This song was my prayer to God: “Show me your mercy, Lord. Show me what You do! Show me your mercy, Lord, for I trust in YOU!” It was great to have Theo Milford lead this track. It was also wonderful for my son to make his recording debut on Djembe!
CELEBRATE HIS NAME!
I have always been told that “The joy of the Lord is your strength,” but I haven’t always found the musical expression that matches that sentiment. This song seeks to do that. Duawne Starling and Monique Steele contributed their vocal stylings on this song. They are both world class singers and it was a blessing to have them sing on this project.
You’re Worthy
Maurice Mayo has been a brother and mentor to me. We co-wrote this song which the late Daryl Coley recorded. I can’t wait until Maurice releases a project. His music is amazing!
